IntoUniversity runs an Academic Support Programme after school for young people aged 7-18. These sessions are free for all eligible students and take place at our centre in The Maryhill Hub.
On Tuesdays and Wednesdays (3.30pm – 5pm) Primary students develop their literacy, numeracy and oracy skills by engaging with an exciting university degree themed curriculum (e.g., Chemistry, Ancient Civilisations), in line with the Curriculum for Excellence.
On Mondays and Thursday (4pm – 5.30pm) Secondary students can bring homework/school work to complete in a quiet study space, or develop important skills (e.g., communication and leadership) through participating in independent projects. Students will have access to laptops, revision guides, printing and support from our trained staff.
By attending our Academic Support programme regularly, students will have the opportunity to engage in our Mentoring and Holiday FOCUS programme which aim to support young people with developing their skills further, and help them explore their future options.
