Barnardo’s PACe is an an intensive family support service covering the whole of Glasgow City and East Dunbartonshire councils working with children and young people aged 5-18 years and their families.
Our primary remit is to support families so as to prevent children from being accommodated as well as support those children and young people who have already been accommodated to make sure that they are in the most appropriate accommodation that meets their needs.
What does the service do?
Provides intensive individual support to parents and children
Offers a mentoring service to children
Conducts parenting capacity assessments and contributes to care planning for children
Offers a tailored approach according to the individual families’ needs
Works within the GIRFEC framework and reports on SHANARRI indicators
Has project workers, mentors, sessional workers and managers who each contribute different activities
Works towards core outcomes for children and parents
Participates fully in care planning processes
